Classical ballet, Latin jazz, modern dance and dance theatre will all be on display in a 90 minute-plus extravaganza with the Fredonia Dance Ensemble from March 6 to 9 in Marvel Theatre at the State University of New York at Fredonia.

“The Fredonia Dance Ensemble in Concert” includes seven pieces and will feature 20 dance students. A production and design team of approximately 30 people will be working behind the scenes to bring the concert to life.

“We’ve been working on this concert since the end of August,” said Helen Myers, coordinator of dance at SUNY Fredonia. “These are all new pieces.”

Included are a faculty piece, “now what,” and a guest artist piece, “meet me @ the ABar,” from the Attack Theatre Co. of Pittsburgh. The guest artist piece is choreographed by Michele de la Reza and Peter Kope.

Show times are 8 p.m. on March 6, 7 and 8 and 2 p.m. on March 9. For tickets, visit the SUNY Fredonia Ticket Office in Williams Center, call 716-673-3501 (1-866-441-4928) or order online at www.fredonia.edu/tickets.
