Fredonia ENACTUS and the United Way of Northern Chautauqua County will be co-sponsoring the first Tour D’Vine family bike rally on Saturday, Sept. 20. Two bicycle rallies that explore several Chautauqua County wineries will be featured, as well as food and activities for all, regardless of participation in the rallies. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Merritt Estate Winery in Forestville, N.Y.
The bike rally will consist of two routes: a 9.2 mile family route and a 27.9 mile route for enthusiasts and more experienced cyclists. Both routes will start and finish at the Merritt Winery with optional stops at four different wineries along the way. Commemorative t-shirts and giveaways will be available for rally participants.
Registration is $25 for those 21 and older; $15 for ages 12 to 20; and children under 12, free.
Other activities will include food, live music, art exhibits, children’s games and a bicycle raffle, the prize for which was donated by Walmart. Wine trails will also be open for event attendees to participate in wine tastings over the course of the event.
