GreenWave, a division of Fredonia Enactus, has introduced an online farmers market, AgriMobile, a joint project of Fredonia Enactus and the Fredonia Farmers’ Market that increases access to fresh and local products.
Consumers can order fresh produce online. Products are available for pick up or delivery to customer doorstep every Wednesday.
AgriMobile currently delivers to the following ZIP Codes: 14063, 14048, 14166, 14718, 14062, 14784, and 14769, and products can be purchased until 8 p.m. on Tuesday of each week. There is a $3 delivery charge and 5 percent handling charge for every order. Free pickup is also available on Wednesdays at the Fredonia First United Presbyterian Church located at 219 Central Ave.
AgriMobile is being used as a supplement to the indoor Farmers’ Market held on Saturdays from November to mid-May. AgriMoble was created to increase access to local food, and to increase our local farmer’s revenue. Enactus also hopes to help the environment by decreasing the distance food travels between farm and table while at the same time decreasing the carbon footprint by eliminating travel distance and decreasing packaging.
Enactus uses entrepreneurial action to make a social, economic and environmental impact in our community. There are over 80 student members from 22 different academic majors at Fredonia. For more information about Fredonia Enactus, contact School of Business and Enactus faculty advisor Dr. Susan.
