On Friday, April 30, the Fredonia for St. Jude Club will hold its final fundraiser for this semester, “Text for a Cure.” Donations to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital can be made by texting the word, “HERO” to 90999 for a one-time donation of $5.
Up to five texts, for a total of $25, can sent between 12 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on April 30. After texting the word, “HERO,” donors will receive a message asking to confirm the donation, and to approve, reply “yes.” Donors’ cell phone bills will show an extra charge of $5 in that month's billing statement; standard messaging rates and additional fees may apply.
The SUNY Fredonia for St. Jude Club is approximately $1,000 away from its goal of raising $10,000 this year, all of which will go directly to the children of St. Jude.
