Twenty-eight students from Fredonia were invited to participate in the First Annual SUNY Undergraduate Research Conference (SURC) held recently at the College at Brockport.
The keynote address was delivered by George Kuh, founder of Indiana University’s Center for Postsecondary Research and the National Survey of Student Engagement. Dr. Kuh has led a national push to enrich the undergraduate and graduate student experiences, and has received many awards for educational leadership and innovation.
Students from a variety of academic disciplines were represented in the form of poster, and oral presentations. The following students who presented their original work as well as their mentors are listed below:

The SURC brought together undergraduate researchers and visual and performing artists as well as their faculty mentors throughout the SUNY system for a full day of activities, including sessions devoted to student presentations, luncheon with a keynote speaker, a SUNY Graduate School Fair, and professional development workshops for students and faculty.
