English Associate Professor Natalie Gerber gave a talk at the special session, “Quantity in English Verse: Linguistic and Neuroscience-Based Challenges to the Accentual Paradigm," at the 2016 Modern Language Association (MLA) Convention held in January in Austin, Texas.

Dr. Gerber also organized and chaired a roundtable on Wallace Stevens and Robert Frost for the Wallace Stevens Society. Gerber and Steven Axelrod, distinguished professor of English at the University of California Riverside, will be co-editing a Spring 2017 special issue of The Wallace Stevens Journal on this topic, featuring contributions by a range of contemporary poets and scholars.

In addition, Gerber's review of Marina Tarlinskaja's “Shakespeare and the Versification of English Drama, 1561-1642” (Farnham, United Kingdom and Burlington, Vt: Ashgate, 2014) appeared in the Autumn 2015 edition of SHARP News, the publication of the Society for the History of Authorship, Reading, and Publishing.
