Fredonia is joining other SUNY campuses this week by participating “Green Light A Vet,” an initiative created to show visual national support for veterans, by changing light bulbs to green in existing lamps at key campus locations. The campaign will run Wednesday night until Nov. 14.

Green light will be cast on Old Main Drive near the Williams Center as well as from the Lanford House walkway, at the Central Avenue main entrance sign, and driveways leading to the Foundation House and Alumni House, all along Central Avenue.

The campaign, supported by SUNY Chancellor Nancy Zimpher, honors millions of active military personnel and veterans across the United States by encouraging the changing of lights to green, considered the color of hope and well-being.
