Dr. Linda Hall of the School of Business recently attended the 10th Annual Global Water Alliance Conference at the U.S. Embassy and Consulates in Kolkata, India, where she presented a paper titled “Exploring the Impact of Investment in WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) and Women’s Empowerment NGOs in West Bengal, India.”
Dr. Hall co-authored the paper with Dr. Jayanti and Gautum Bandyopadhyay, and Arun Deb.
This is the first time Dr. Hall has been invited to a GWA Conference. She got involved in the subject through her colleague, Dr. Bandyopadhyay, who is a professor of the Bertolon School of Business at Salem State University in Massachusetts.
Dr. Hall’s goal is to have her co-authored paper as well as her extensive research published, and make a positive impact on the NGO and its stakeholders. She is continuing the project during the 2017 spring semester, as she takes a sabbatical leave of absence, and plans on returning to campus for the fall semester.
