All things Harry Potter and mathematical will be celebrated at the 15th annual Pi Day with a Harry Potter theme, hosted by the Department of Mathematical Sciences.
The event is slated for Thursday, March 12, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in McEwen Hall Room 209.
Based upon the beloved movies and books, teams of four to six students will be sorted among four houses and then tackle a number of mathematical challenges in order to win prizes and compete for the Pi Cup. Teams, faculty, and fans are encouraged to attended and dress the part.
Pi Day is Friday, March 14 (3-14, like the first three digits of pi) and Fredonia's Department of Mathematical Sciences is celebrating two days early. It is a ‘math holiday’ that has been gaining recognition over the last decade.
