Founded in California in 2001, Hellogoodbye has released three studio albums, including “Everything is Debatable” in 2013, and scored its biggest hit – “Here (In Your Arms)” – that went platinum in 2006. X Ambassadors gained attention with “Jungle,” the opening song on the second-season trailer for the original Netflix series “Orange is the New Black.”
Spectrum Entertainment worked with a national college talent booking agency to select bands that would deliver an enjoyable show with music that would be known by students.
The Fredonia student group New Masons, which won the Battle of the New Bands earlier this semester and placed on Spectrum’s Artists on the Rise series, will be the opening act. Its members include Michael Gonzalez-Kelly, Deanna Civilette, Jimmy Hartman, Jake Lorefice, Ariel Arellano and Jon Mix.
Doors will open at 6 p.m., with the concert, sponsored by Student Association, scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Tickets, $5 with Fredonia ID, are on sale at the Fredonia Ticket Office in the Williams Center. Fredonia students may also purchase up to three guest tickets, at $10 each. General admission tickets are $20.
Concert-goers must be at least 18 years of age and present photo identification or Fredonia identification to gain entry. Security checks will be conducted at the entrance and backpacks will not be allowed inside Steele Hall.
