Students are now being hired by Fredonia’s College Tutoring Services office to join its tutoring staff for the 2017-2018 academic year.

CTS tutors are paid an hourly wage to work a scheduled number of hours, ranging between two to six hours per week, for drop-in students at the Learning Center or in one-on-one hourly sessions with specific students assigned by the program.

“Working as a tutor not only pays but has proven to be a golden credential for students seeking admission to graduate programs, competing for jobs, fellowships and teaching positions,” reports Learning Center Director Liza Smith.

The deadline to submit an application at the Learning Center, located on the fourth floor of Reed Library, is Friday, March 10, at 4 p.m.

The Full Opportunity Program, Disability Support Services for Students and Educational Development Program are assisting College Tutoring Services in the hiring of tutors.

An application and information is available online.
