Associate Professor Jessica Hillman-McCord of the Department of Theatre and Dance edited and contributed two chapters to her new book, “iBroadway: Musical Theatre in the Digital Age,” to be released this month by Palgrave Macmillan.
In her book, Dr. Hillman-McCord contends that the digital revolution has altered the fundamental way musicals are produced, followed, marketed, admired, reviewed, researched, taught and even cast. As a result, musical theatre artists have had to adjust to swift and unanticipated change.
Hillman-McCord has written articles that have appeared in TDR: The Drama Review, Studies in Musical Theatre and Theatre Topics, and is the author of “Echoes of the Holocaust on the American Musical Stage.” More information about Hillman-McCord’s new book is available online.
