Fredonia’s History Honors Capstone Seminar is presenting a conference showcasing its research on Atlantic slavery entitled, "A Forgotten Agency: Evolution, Resistance, and Rebellion in Atlantic Slavery," on Tuesday, Nov. 11, from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Williams Center Room S204. All events are free and open to students, faculty, staff and the local community.
Capstone students will present their own research in sessions at 1:30 and 3:15 p.m. At 5 p.m., Professor Olatunji Ojo of Brock University will present a keynote address, "John Dasalu: A Nineteenth-Century Trans-Atlantic Odyssey from Slavery to Freedom." The presentations will be followed by a brief reception, sponsored by Fredonia’s History Club.
