Fredonia is in the midst of a series of faculty exchanges with Anadolu University, Turkey, during its inaugural semester of participation in the Erasmus+ Faculty and Staff Mobility Program.

Drs. Ziya Arnavut and Gentian Buzi, both of the Department of Computer and Information Sciences, recently returned from their visit to Anadolu, a major institution of higher education located in the provincial capital of Eskiseher in northwest Turkey. Fredonia will host two Anadolu faculty members -- Erhan Eroglu, of Communication Sciences, and Gokhan Ciplak, Computer Engineering – beginning in late April.
Embarking on an early-May visit to Anadolu will be Professor Tim Frerichs of the Department of Visual Arts and New Media, and Counseling Services Director Tracy Stenger.

The bilateral exchange promotes academic and cultural exchanges between the two universities through visits that last between one and two weeks. It is open to faculty in the departments of Biology, Business Administration, Economics, Visual Arts and New Media, History and Communication, as well as staff in Counseling Services.

Visiting faculty may participate in or attend guest lectures, campus presentations and meetings, network with colleagues and give presentations to students.

The faculty exchange program is being funded by a grant through the European Commission's Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency.
