A group of Fredonia’s international students were immersed in U.S. government and history during a week long excursion to Washington D.C. over spring break.
From March 16 to 20, students from Japan, South Korea, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Sweden visited and toured national memorials, the museums of the Smithsonian Institution, the Capitol Building, Supreme Court Building, Arlington National Cemetery, the U.S. Holocaust Museum and other historical sites.
While in Washington, the students learned about the U.S. branches of government and history. The trip gave students an opportunity to learn as well as build connections with each other while providing a much-needed respite from academic course work.
The International Student Services office organized the trip as one of its many events planned to provide support for international students during their time at Fredonia.
