Dr. Benjamin Foster, one of the world’s leading authorities on ancient Mesopotamian languages and literatures, will be giving a talk at Fredonia on Wednesday, April 15 at 6 p.m. in the Science Center Room 105.
Yale University scholar and curator of ancient Babylonian art, Dr. Foster will discuss the invention of writing and Gilgamesh, the first epic poem in the world to mention the Great Flood. Foster is also the curator of the Babylonian Collections at Yale.
The 2014-2015 Convocation event is free and the public is invited to attend. A reception will follow the talk and the public is invited to attend the free lecture.
