Jeffrey Dee |
Jeffrey Dee of the Fredonia School of Music faculty will perform with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra during its special world premiere performance of a work featuring three trombones in concerts Nov. 16, 17 and 18 at Kleinhans Music Hall, Buffalo, N.Y.
The concert features the world-premiere of Eric Ewazen’s Triple Trombone Concerto and will be directed by JoAnn Falletta. The three trombonists include Dee, Jonathan Lombardo and Timothy Smith.
Dee has performed for Eric Ewazen many times in the past. While in school, Dee performed many of Ewazen’s solo works, which makes this an exciting event for Dee.
Not only will he get to be a part of something new, but he will also get to perform one of Ewazen’s pieces again.
The concerto will highlight each trombone as an alto, tenor and bass. Jeffrey Dee will be playing the voice of the bass trombone.
