Jog for Justice, inspired by the Color Run, will take place at Fredonia on Sunday, May 3. Check-in for the run will be in Dods Hall at 10:30 a.m. and the run will begin at noon.
Preregistration will take place in McEwen Hall the week before the run. The first 200 people who register will receive a bracelet printed with "Jog for Justice 2015." Registration is limited to on-campus participants (students, faculty, and staff).
All proceeds from Jog for Justice will go to the Breaking Binaries Fund. The scholarship, created by Skyler Rutkowski, will provide transgender and non-binary students on campus with transition costs such as name changes. There will also be raffles on the day of the run, which will provide funding to the scholarship as well. The event is being sponsored by the Women and Gender Studies capstone, Gender and Social Change.
The registration fee is $10 for the 3k run and $15 for the 5k run.
