On Thursday, Oct. 16, from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m., interested students will have the opportunity to learn more about a newly established joint B.A./MPA degree program with the University at Albany.

The event is slated for Williams Center Room G103A. Kara Pangburn, director of graduate admissions from University at Albany’s Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy, will be speaking.

The presentation will outline admission requirements, course offerings and job opportunities within the fields of public affairs and policy. At the conclusion of the presentation, a question and answer session will occur. Refreshments will be provided by Fredonia’s Career Development Office.

The Fredonia Department of Politics and International Affairs, along with the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, has partnered with the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy to create the program. The joint B.A./MPA program will allow more students the opportunity to easily transition from undergraduate to graduate study.

Fredonia students who are eligible and majoring in Political Science will be granted admission into the Rockefeller B.A./MPA program and will qualify for the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) entrance exam to be waived. Three courses at the graduate level will be double counted towards the completion of the dual degree program.

For more information regarding the event or the dual degree opportunity, please contact Alexander Caviedes by email at caviedes@fredonia.edu or by phone at 716-673-4672.
