The Fredonia Technology Incubator will host a leadership fundamentals workshop at its facility in the city of Dunkirk on Tuesday, Nov. 15. The session will be led by Lori Miller, owner of Developing Professionals.

Part of the incubator’s Entrepreneurial Education Program, the Leadership Fundamentals Workshop will be held from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the incubator at 214 Central Ave. The event is free and open to the public. Registration is required and space is limited. Materials and lunch will be provided.

Anyone who is interested in honing their leadership skills is welcome to attend the workshop.

Ms. Miller will discuss the differences between managing and leading, where power is drawn from to influence followers, competencies required for leaders, and the role of leaders in achieving organizational mission and goals.

“Entrepreneurial leadership is an important topic and we are looking forward to hosting this workshop,” said Monica Kemp, incubator program manager. “Educational programs on leadership are desired by young professionals and entrepreneurs - we are excited to offer this to the community.”

Miller is the owner of Developing Professionals, a company that provides training, consulting, and coaching services to organizations in leadership, organizational and professional development. She has conducted seminars and workshops both locally and nationally for corporations, nonprofit groups, and professional associations.
