De-stress for Success, a series of events, programs and workshops designed to help students to find ways to reduce stress in a healthy, productive manner, and gain the focus they need to succeed during finals week, will be underway next week.

Students are invited to engage in any of the events listed below:

Zumba – Monday, Dec. 11, 11 a.m. to noon, Williams Center Room S-204D. Dance away stress with a free Zumba class.

Paws to Relax – Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 11 and 12, noon to 1 p.m., Reed Library lobby. Pet and play with certified therapy dogs.

Calm Down and Warm Up – Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 13 and 14, 11 a.m. to noon, Reed Library lobby. Relax with free cocoa and hand warmers.

Healthy Bites – Monday through Friday, Dec. 11-15. Free healthy snacks will be offered at the Student Health Center (LoGrasso Hall).

Chair Massages – Monday, Dec. 11, noon to 1 p.m., Reed Library lobby. Free five-minute chair massages will be offered.

Relaxation Kits – Monday through Friday, Dec. 11-15. Student relaxation kits will be offered at the Student Health Center (LoGrasso Hall).

Gotta Study S’more – Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 11 and 12, 1 to 2 p.m., Reed Library lobby. Take a break from your studies and grab a free s’more kit.

Color Me Calm – Monday through Friday, Dec. 11-15. Free coloring kits will be offered at the Counseling Center (LoGrasso Hall).

Soup-er De-stressor – Monday through Friday, Dec. 11-15. Free cup of soup packets will be offered at the Student Health Center.

Stress-free Zone – Monday through Thursday, Dec. 11-14, Reed Library lobby. Take a timeout from your hectic schedule and relax with various stress relieving activities that include coloring, crafts and games.

Exam Study Break – Tuesday, Dec. 12, 6 p.m., Williams Center Multipurpose Room, sponsored by Spectrum.

Quiet Study Areas – Reed Library has extended hours Sunday through Thursday, Dec. 10-14. The library classroom (first floor, Carnahan-Jackson Center) will be available for quiet study in addition to the everyday quiet study areas on the second and third floors of the Carnahan-Jackson Center. The Williams Center’s Multipurpose Room is available for study Monday through Thursday, Dec. 11-14, 8:30 a.m. to 11:45 p.m., and Friday, Dec. 15, 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

De-Stress for Success is sponsored by the Counseling Center, Reed Library, Student Health Center, the Division of Enrollment and Student Services, Residence Life, Campus Life, the Faculty Student Association and Spectrum.
