SUNY Fredonia has appointed Chris Dearth, who has worked in admissions and marketing at a nationally ranked public liberal arts college for the last five years, as its new Director of Admissions.

Mr. Dearth comes to SUNY Fredonia from Richard Stockton College, Pomona, N.J., where he has been assistant director of admissions since 2001. He participated in the recruitment and evaluation process of prospective students as well as formation of marketing and recruitment strategies for the admissions office. The school enrolls just over 7,200 undergraduate and graduate students.

While at Richard Stockton College, Mr. Dearth created the Instant Decision Day Program that brings highly qualified students and their parents to campus and has been responsible for steadily increasing applications and enrollment.

Previously, Mr. Dearth worked as a marketing manager/consultant and agency account coordinator.

A graduate of Richard Stockton College, with a bachelor’s degree in business studies/marketing, Mr. Dearth earned a master’s in leadership and liberal studies from Duquesne University, in Pittsburgh, Pa.
