New Politics is a Danish rock band from Copenhagen, formed in 2009. The band’s sound has been described as a blend of punk, pop, and electronically induced dance rock. Joywave hits closer to home, as an American indie rock band from Rochester, N.Y. Similarly to New Politics, Joywave is considered electronic, and it’s anticipated that both bands will put on a great show.

The event is ticketed, with presale prices at $8 for students and $12 for student guests, which will be available in the Fredonia Ticket Office in the Williams Center. Tickets will also be available at the door with Fredonia students paying $10 and student guests, $15. Fredonia students are allowed to bring up to two guests. Everyone attending must be 18 years or older with a valid photo ID. No backpacks, food, or drinks will be allowed in the venue and anything brought in is subject to search.

Assisting with production set up is the student Sound Services group, and the event in sponsored by the Student Association. Also assisting are members of Kappa Sigma and Delta Chi. Production is provided by Advanced Production Group.

For more information on the event, contact the Assistant Director of Campus Life Rachel LaPaglia at 716-673-3143 or via email.
