New SUNY Fredonia students in 2011-12 can help streamline their Summer Orientation experience by participating in a secure online survey that will lead to the development of their own respective fall class schedules and be viewed online prior to on-campus orientation sessions.

This service will be made available to students who have paid their deposit. In the survey, students will describe their past high school courses, review choices within SUNY Fredonia’s general education program offerings, and address other concerns with fall class scheduling.

This information, combined with information from academic departments, will be used by staff and faculty to pre-load a fall schedule for each student. These schedules will be available for online viewing after June 15 and during the in-person registration experience. In past years, class schedules were put together during summer orientation.

Students can begin the process by accessing the “Your Connection” link on the bottom of SUNY Fredonia’s home page under the “e-services” column. Once there, students can pay their admission deposit and housing deposit, register for a summer orientation session and compete the survey.

At an orientation session, students will be able to confirm or change classes. The following dates are available for Summer Orientation:

Transfers:
  • June 23

Freshmen Two-Day Sessions:
  • June 27-28
  • June 30-July 1
  • July 7-8
  • July 11-12
  • July 14-15

New students and their parents can utilize the Orientation website for complete information at www.fredonia.edu/orientation. Questions can be directed to the Orientation Hotline at 716-673-3276, or by emailing orientation@fredonia.edu.
