Fredonia graduate Bernard Moore and H. Joseph Straight, professor and chair of the Department of Mathematical Sciences, co-wrote the paper, “Pythagorean Triples in Multiplicative Groups,” that has been published in the 2015 issue of the Pi Mu Epsilon Journal.
This is the second join publication resulting from the undergraduate thesis of Mr. Moore, ’11, that was completed under the guidance of Dr. Straight as part of Mathematical Honors program at Fredonia.
Moore is pursuing a Ph.D. in Computational Applied Mathematics at Stony Brook University.
The national Pi Mu Epsilon society promotes mathematics and recognizes students who successfully pursue mathematical understanding.
