SUNY Fredonia President Dennis Hefner appointed Professor Penny Hite as Interim Chair of the Sport Management & Exercise Science department, effective March 29 through June 30, 2010.
Ms. Hite has been a member of the department since its inception and been part of curriculum and program development. In addition to teaching core courses in the programs, she advises students, oversees internships, and facilitates open houses for the department. She has served as Interim Chair on two other occasions.
Currently a doctoral candidate in educational administration at SUNY Buffalo, Ms. Hite is a SUNY Fredonia alumna and has master’s degrees in education and athletic administration.
There are 172 students majoring in the program.
