Steven Gangloff, of Buffalo, N.Y., has been named Student of the Month for September by Residence Life. Steven was nominated for this award by Professors Ted Lee and Scott Ferguson because of his “tremendous work ethic and genuine intellectual curiosity.”
Steven is a senior Biology major on the Pre-Medical track, due to graduate in May of 2012. He is very involved on campus as President of the Biology Club, President of Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, President of Beta Beta Beta the Biological Honor Society and is an active in both Golden Key Honor Society and Fredonia for St. Jude.
Steven also participates as Head Researcher in a project with Dr. Ferguson in using Tri-Molecular Fluorescence Complementation. Steven is also a Biology tutor in the Learning Center as well as providing supplement instruction to students in the Introduction to Biology class; BIOL 111.
The Student of the Month program was implemented in 2003 to recognize students who are well-rounded, excel in their academics and contribute positively to the campus and community.
