The Applied Communication Association is hosting its annual Public Speaking Contest on Wednesday, April 5 at 7 p.m. in the Science Center’s Kelly Auditorium.

Students who are interested in participating can create an informational, motivational, or persuasive speech on the topic of their choice.

Sign-ups will be held in McEwen Hall on Tuesday, March 28 and Thursday, March 30, or via email.

There will be cash prizes for the top three places as well as a "Fan Favorite" prize. First place will receive $100, Second Place will receive $50, and Third Place and Fan Favorite will receive $20.

There will also be raffle baskets and gift cards available to win by purchasing tickets at the event, and free refreshments.

All Fredonia students are welcome to either participate or provide support as audience members.
