Is there a gene for altruism? Faculty, students, and staff are invited to find out at the Social Science Colloquium on Monday, Feb. 8 at noon in W380 Thompson Hall. Dr. Richard Jankowski will be giving a presentation entitled, "Is There a Gene for Altruism?: Natural Selection and Social Behavior."

 

The Social Science Colloquium is a series hosted by the SUNY Fredonia College of Natural and Social Sciences. This is the first colloquium of the 2010 semester and will be held in the Sociology Reading Room. All faculty, staff, and students are welcome to attend. Food and beverages will be provided.

 

Dr. Jankowski, Professor of Political Science, has published articles in political science, sociology, and economic journals. His book manuscript, "Profits, Wages, and the State," is presently under consideration by Cambridge University Press. He received his Ph.D in political science from the University of Chicago in 1984.
