All SUNY Fredonia students are eligible and encouraged to participate in the The Rosa Parks Scholarship Competition by submitting a work of self-expression on the subject of cultural pluralism and injustice. The deadline to enter the competition is Friday, March 7.
Three students will win individual awards of $350 and the opportunity to perform or present their winning work at the annual Rosa Parks Scholarship celebration later in the semester.
Designed to give students the opportunity to voice their opinions about cultural pluralism and injustice through an artistic medium, the competition asks students to submit any of the following: poetry, short story, research paper/essay, performances such as dance, drama, music, or multimedia presentation, or any of the visual arts such as sculpture, painting, photography, or film.
Submissions for the competition must be at the Center for Multicultural Affairs by 4 p.m. on March 7.
