The Fredonia Rotaract Club will host, “Courage in Motion,” on Saturday, April 25, beginning at 6 p.m. in the Steele Hall Fieldhouse.
The event is designed to help grant one child a wish through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a nonprofit organization granting wishes for children with life threatening illnesses. All money earned at the event will go directly to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
There will be two parts to the event. The first is a formal dinner, accompanied by three Make-A-Wish Foundation recipient testimonials at 6 p.m. The second portion is a “late night dance” beginning at 9 p.m. The dance will feature live bands, DJs, games and the opportunity to win prizes. Throughout the night there will also be 50/50 drawings, as well as basket raffles and t-shirts.
There are two ticket options. An all-inclusive ticket can be purchased for $9 for students and $20 for the general public, which will cover admittance to both portions of the event, and a $5 ticket for individuals who only wish to participate in the second portion of the event, the “late night dance.”
Tickets can be purchased at the Fredonia Ticket Office in the Williams Center.
The mission of Fredonia Rotaract Club is to provide an opportunity for young men and women to enhance the knowledge and skills pertaining to personal development, address the physical and social needs of the community, and to promote better relations worldwide.
