Dr. Joseph Tabbi, a professor of English from the University of Illinois, Chicago, will discuss his biography-in-progress of 20th century American author William Gaddis at SUNY Fredonia on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 4:30 p.m., at the Japanese Garden area of Reed Library.
Tabbi, who grew up in Silver Creek, has become a world renowned scholar of contemporary American fiction and the author of “Postmodern Sublime: Technology in American Writing from Mailer to Cyberpunk” and “Cognitive Fictions.” He specializes in Contemporary Literature and Technology and Literature.
Gaddis has been hailed as a genius of post-war American fiction and one of the great innovators of contemporary fiction.
The presentation is hosted by the Department of English and is free and open to the community.
