Faculty members from the departments of English, World Languages and Cultures, Curriculum and Instruction, History and Biology will read their favorite passages by French author Marcel Proust while also engaging the famous "Proust Questionnaire," a set of interview questions now commonly submitted to celebrities on the cover of Vanity Fair, at the Science Center’s Gavin Aerie on Thursday, Feb. 12, from 2 to 4 p.m.

Refreshments to be served will include tea and "madeleines," a French butter cake immortalized by Proust in a famous literary passage about the workings of memory and deja vu. The event, co-chaired by English Associate Professor Birger Vanwesenbeeck and Professor Ruth Antosh of the Department of World Languages and Cultures, is free and open to the public.

The event is part of the 2014-2015 Convocation Series of events.
