Fredonia’s College of Education’s Project BELA (Broadening English Language Acquisition) and the NYTESOL Chautauqua chapter will present the screening of, “I Learn America,” a documentary that follows five new American teenagers in a high school as they strive to master English, adapt to families, and create a future of their own while coming of age in a new land.
Immediately following the film, there will be a discussion session with the film’s director, Jean-Michel Dissard, and two of the featured students. The screening is open to the public and will be held in the Williams Center Room S204 on Sept. 29 at 4:30 p.m. The discussion will begin at 6 p.m.
