Dr. Susan Spangler of the Department of English recently spoke at the 2016 Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC) Annual Convention.
Spangler's contribution to the panel on Queering Assessment: Engaging Alternative Validity Arguments was titled, "“Flipping” Assessment: Queering Discourse and Practice in Grading Student Writing."
The 2016 CCCC Convention was held April 6 to 9, in Houston, Texas. Each year, the CCCC Convention draws college faculty members from around the world. They gather to hear award-winning speakers, attend presentations by colleagues on the latest innovations in education, and network to gain knowledge of best practices in the field.
