An article written by English Associate Professor Susan Spangler, "Flipping Assessment, Making Assessment a Learning Experience," was ranked among the top 10 articles on the Faculty Focus teaching blog.

The site, dedicated to improving teaching in higher education, published over 200 articles on effective teaching strategies for the college classroom during 2015. Its wide range of topics included assignment strategies, cell phone policies, course design, flipped classrooms, online discussions, student resistance and grading policies.

Each article's ranking was based on a combination of factors, including e-newsletter open and click rates, social shares, reader comments, web traffic, reprint requests, and other reader engagement metrics.
