Want a say in choosing the next Fred Fest performer? Spectrum Entertainment Board is in the beginning stages of planning Fred Fest 2012 and is conducting a survey of what type of music students would like to see headline the event. The survey is for currently enrolled students and is only accessible through FSU4U, the new student organization website. The survey is only available until Monday, Nov. 7 at noon.
Students may vote on what type of musical act they would like to see at the event and also suggest particular artists. If you have not logged in to FSU4U before, just click the link off the home page and sign-in using your campus email username and password. You will be asked to quickly complete your account information and then you can take the survey, by clicking on the "Vote Now" link at the top of the FSU4U main page.
Spectrum will identify the top two most popular music genres voted by students through this survey, along with the most popular artist suggested. They will use this information to develop a list of potential musical performers in those popular genres that fit their budget.
Fred Fest has been held for more than 30 years and has featured popular artists such as O.A.R., Rusted Root, Run DMC, Rufus Wainwright and Brand New.
