The Fredonia women's volleyball team finished its weekend 3-0 and taking down Montclair State (N.J.) and Nazareth on Saturday. The Devils improved to 21-9.

Against Montclair State, Kristen Stanek (Hamburg/Orchard Park) had a team-high 17 kills as the Devils swept the Red Hawks 25-22, 25-20, and 25-18.

Kailey Falk (York/Our Lady of Mercy) and Rachel Aiello (Baldwinsville/Baldwinsville) added nine kills apiece. Hallie Christopher (East Amherst/Clarence) had 43 assists. Aiello added three service aces.

Kailey Falk had 15 digs, and Aiello and Courtney Poirier (West Seneca/West Seneca West) had 13 apiece. Emma Falk (York/Our Lady of Mercy) had four blocks.

Montclair fell to 13-18.

The Devils won 3-1 over Nazareth (19-12) by scores of 25-23, 27-29, 25-12, and 25-18.

Stanek again topped the Devils with 15 kills. Kailey Falk and Aiello added 13 each. Christopher had 48 assists. Courtney Poirier had 17 digs and Rachel Poirier and Christopher had 15 each.

"A 3-0 weekend as we approach the postseason is important," said head coach Geoff Braun. "We beat three quality teams that have big blockers. Hallie did a good job of putting our hitters in a position to succeed."

The Devils travel to Brockport next weekend for the SUNYAC Tournament. The ride a seven-match win streak into next weekend.

NYU was declared team champion based on 3-0 record and fewest points allowed among 3-0 teams.
