Live music will fill west Barker Commons in the Village of Fredonia on Saturday, Sept. 24, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., during “Rockin’ the Commons,” an annual fundraiser hosted by Fredonia Radio Systems to benefit Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
Four well-known a cappella groups – The Riveters, Much More Chill, Some Like it Hot and Premium Blend – will be among 10 student ensembles performing. The lineup of bands from Fredonia and Buffalo includes: Younger Then, the headliner, along with Rescue Dawn, The Otherme, The Rangeclips, Kill The Clock and The Rifts.
In addition to music, the all-day event will feature chicken dinners served by Weidner Barbecue, a gift basket raffle with donations from local businesses and community groups, a bake sale, bounce house, face painting, yard games that include a record toss game and children’s crafts provided by Fredonia’s Teacher Education Club.
“It is a day filled with music and fun, and we are very excited to hold this benefit for Roswell,” said Rebecca D’Hilly, general manager of Fredonia Radio Systems.
