Assessing Student Learning Outcomes: Best Practices Research
by Chris Miller, Executive Director, University Leadership Council

Friday, February 25
12:30 – 3:00 P.M. (includes lunch)
Williams Center Multipurpose Room

Join colleagues from across campus as we hear about ways to engage faculty in assessment of student learning outcomes. As a member institution in the Education Advisory Board and its University Leadership Council, SUNY Fredonia can benefit from learning about best practices at other institutions as we continue efforts to assess student learning.

We’ll begin with lunch at 12:30, and then Mr. Chris Miller will tell us about the national study he led in 2008, “reviewing thousands of pages of literature and interviewing hundreds of institutions to find the 10 to 15 top ideas” in this area.

Department chairs or representatives, faculty, and student affairs professionals are encouraged to be part of this discussion. Please RSVP if you plan to attend so we have an accurate count for lunch and handouts.

RSVP by Friday, February 18
to Pam Fabritius in Academic Affairs
(Pamela.Fabritius@fredonia.edu, x. 3335).
