On Wednesday April 20th, celebrate community, art and our environment with the “Arts for the Earth” exclusive Earth Week performance. In celebration of SUNY Fredonia’s 4th annual Earth Week series of events, the Fredonia Opera House will be hosting two showings (2 & 7 PM) of this multi-departmental performing arts extravaganza.

This free performance lasts approximately an hour and will be preceded the half hour before each show by a special performance of the New Horizons Band.

In “Arts for the Earth”, the Departments of Theatre, Dance, Music and Visual Arts & New Media team up in an interactive performance portraying the story of two wary individuals who end up becoming enlightened by Mother Nature herself.

This illuminating story features the struggles we face in a world that is changing and the potential we exhibit to correct the past and envision a brighter future. The journey through ‘Arts for the Earth’ is focused on a skeptical couple that experiences the terror and beauty of the earth’s complexity.

The journey invites the audience to interact and grow as these two characters discover the power of change.
