“Spread the Word to End the Word,” an event intended to discourage the use of the “R” word and discrimination against people with disabilities, will be held Thursday, Dec. 6, 7 to 10 p.m., at Buster Brown Café, 33 Church St., downtown Fredonia. Performances by SUNY Fredonia a capella group “Some Like It Hot” and visiting a capella groups from other schools will be featured at the event, hosted by the Communication Disorders and Sciences Club. The event is free and open to the public.
