The students of Unione Italiana, Fredonia’s Italian student organization, will celebrate Italian History Month by hosting an authentic dinner buffet on Sunday, Oct. 26, at 5 p.m. , in the Williams Center’s Horizon Room East.
Traditional dining choices to celebrate Italian heritage include stuffed manicotti with marinara sauce, chicken parmesan, mixed green salad, seasonal grilled vegetables, cannoli, and cheesecake with strawberries and whipped cream. Rolls, butter, assorted pitchers of soda, coffee and tea will also be included.
The cost of the Italian-style buffet is $18 for students, faculty, staff and community members. Fredonia students may use their points, Fred funds or Fredonia debit and provide the ISO number from their FRED card plan when reserving a seat. Faculty, staff, and community members must pay by check.
Dinner reservations can be made by contacting Union Italiana student member Victoria McMahon at mcma8903@fredonia.edu or adviser and Visiting Professor Chiara De Santi of the Department of World Languages and Cultures at desanti@fredonia.edu.
Unione Italiana was first formed in 2010 by students of Italian and non-Italian origin as part of Fredonia’s Student Association. All are welcome to join Unione Italiana and participate in its on-campus and community-wide events to celebrate Italian culture.
