Beginning Monday, Oct. 17, members of Fredonia for St. Jude will collect beverage cans to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Recycling bins will be placed at entrances of the Williams Center to make it convenient for students, faculty and staff to support the campaign.

If collection bins are full, arrangements for pickup by club members can be made by contacting Alison Malcolm, president of Fredonia for St. Jude, at amalcolm@fredonia.edu. The campaign continues through the end of October.

The can collection held in May raised over $300. Those proceeds were rolled into other St. Jude fundraisers, such as “Up ‘til Dawn” and “Rock Out for Cancer,” that collectively netted over $10,000.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., treats children with pediatric cancers and does not deny care for any child due to inability to pay for treatment.
