The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has named Fredonia's Christian Krasnek as the Diver of the Week and Cortland's Nick Geleto as the Men's Swimmer of the Week.
Krasnek had a good weekend during the Fredonia quad meet, winning the 3-meter springboard and placing second in the 1-meter springboard. His score of 304.80 points on the 3-meter springboard was a NCAA zone qualifier. The junior finished the 1-meter springboard with a score of 256.40 points.
Geleto, the Red Dragon junior, played a part in five winning relays during the Cortland Pumpkin Relays over the weekend. He swam legs on the 400-yard medley relay (55.58 backstroke leg), the 3x100-yard backstroke relay (55.12 anchor leg), the 3x100-yard individual medley relay (58.09 anchor leg), the 200-yard freestyle relay (22.39 leg), and the 200-yard medley relay (25.71 backstroke leg). Gelato helped Cortland to a first place finish at the relays.
