The Fredonia women's swimming and diving team is now on a three-win streak heading into SUNYACs.
The Blue Devils topped the Red Dragons in Cortland by a score of 165.5-135.5.
Highlighting the team's performance, Meghan Bartlett (Johnstown, N.Y. / Johnstown) earned zone-qualifying scores in both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards. She was the first-place finisher in the 3-meter with a score of 291.00 and the second-place finisher in the 1-meter with a score of 267.75. Heather Colby (Owego, N.Y. / Owego) and Sam Kowalewski (Attica, N.Y. / Attica) finished third and fourth in the 1-meter board with scores of 237.85 and 211.50, respectively.
Sam Rokos (Delanson, N.Y. / Duanesburg) won three events on the day: the 200-yard freestyle (2:00.06), 100-yard freestyle (:55.76), and 200-yard individual medley (2:18.00). Larissa Dobson (Hamburg, N.Y. / Eden) took first in both the 100-yard breaststroke (1:08.21) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:29.69), while Stephanie Rosa (Phillipsburg, N.J. / Phillipsburg) won the 200-yard backstroke in 2:17.22.
The women also saw two relay teams take first place. The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Dobson, Rokos, Katie Donnelly (Albion, N.Y. / Charles D'Amico), and Ellie Brion (Canandaigua, N.Y. / Canandaigua) won with a time of 1:43.00. Dobson, Donnelly, Rosa, and Rachel Morgano (West Islip, N.Y. / West Islip) made up the team that won the 200-yard medley relay.
The Blue Devils will return to action when SUNYAC Championships are held in Buffalo starting February 18.
