Kim Tillery, chair of the Department of Communication Disorders and Sciences, has presented several talks and been the invited keynote speaker at various international conventions.
Dr. Tillery presented two sessions as an invited keynote speaker at the 2015 Australian College of Audiology National Congress in Sunshine Coast, Australia, in August. She was also invited to chair the Topic Area of Auditory Processing committee for the 2016 American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) annual convention in Philadelphia, Pa.
In September 2014 Tillery was an invited as keynote speaker at the Institute National Rehabilitation Center Congress in Mexico City, Mexico, presenting three sessions, and in November 2014 she was invited to present two sessions at the 2014 British Academy of Audiology Annual Congress in Bournemouth, Great Britain. The topics included reliable diagnosis and evidence-based practice measures for adults and children with auditory processing disorders, differential diagnosis of nonverbal learning, attention deficit and auditory processing disorders, and exploring the types of APD that lead to effective therapeutic and management.
