The Fredonia women's volleyball team picked up a pair of wins at the Vassar Invitational on Saturday, defeating both Vassar and the University of New England by identical 3-1 scores.


Against Vassar, the Devils won by scores of 25-18, 25-21, 18-25, and 31-29. Kailey Falk (York, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy) led the offense with 13 kills and four blocks, and SallyAnne Rudny (Jamestown/Southwestern) added 11 kills. Amanda Mosack (Webster/Webster Schroeder) had 46 assists and Rachel Aiello (Baldwinsville/C.W. Baker) accounted for 26 digs.

Against UNE, Fredonia won by set scores of 25-20, 20-25, 25-18, and 25-13. Rudny had a team-high 18 kills, and Emily Jones (Plainfield, Ill./Joliet Catholic) had 11. Aiello topped the team with 28 digs.

The Devils (5-2) travel to Penn State Behrend on Tuesday.
