The Reaching OUT to SUNY project is hosting a free webinar to share results of a recent lesbian, gay, bi‐sexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) survey administered on the Fredonia campus, as well as an opportunity to inform and educate others on SUNY campuses.

The "Reaching OUT: The Design & Distribution of a LGBTQ Climate Survey" 30-minute webinar will air Friday, April 29 at 2 p.m., hosted by Psychology Professor and Assistant Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences Ingrid Johnston-Robledo. It can be accessed 30 minutes before it is scheduled to begin. It is suggested that those viewing the webinar allow five minutes to log in and give the program time to load.

A comprehensive survey designed by SUNY Fredonia was administered to assess the campus climate towards lesbian, gay, bi‐sexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) students, faculty and staff in March. The results from the survey will be shared as well as discussing initiatives to make the survey available to other colleges and universities for their own use.

Reaching OUT to SUNY project is designed to achieve the holistic integration of LGBTQ into the academic culture that will result in a fuller integration of LGBTQ issues related to student and faculty recruitment and retention, to curricular modifications, and to the overall campus climate for LGBTQ individuals. Reaching OUT to SUNY was designed with a vision towards sustainability at the individual campus level and, longer-term, within the broader SUNY system.
