A six-point weekend has earned Fredonia sophomore forward Samuel Wilbur (Saginaw, Mich.) the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Men's Ice Hockey Athlete of the Week award on Nov. 21.

In addition to the six points, Wilbur had a plus-three rating during Fredonia's home-and-home series with Morrisville. He scored a goal on the only shot he took in a 4-3 overtime home loss Nov. 18 and had a career-best four points (1 goal, 3 assists) in Fredonia's 6-2 win Nov. 19, which extended his scoring streak to a career-best five games.

Wilbur leads the Blue Devils with 11 points after seven games. He is on pace to surpass his 2015-16 totals in which he had 17 points on 8 goals and 9 assists.

In addition, he's been called for just one two-minute minor penalty in Fredonia's first six games.

Idle this weekend over Thanksgiving break, Wilbur and his Blue Devil teammates are back in action Dec. 2 at Geneseo and return home Dec. 3 vs. Brockport.
